National Weanling Sale to be held on gavelhouse.com

Entries for NZB Standardbred’s 2026 National Weanling Sale are now open, with the popular boutique session now to be held on leading digital platform gavelhouse.com.

The online format offers breeders an attractive opportunity to sell their young stock to a wide audience. The attraction for buyers is only strengthened by the Harness Million Series eligibility.

“The move to an online Sale ensures that all breeders and buyers across the country can participate in what is a source of genuine racehorses,” commented NZB Standardbred’s Cam Bray.

“While the Sale will be held on gavelhouse.com, it will be run under NZB Standardbred conditions which enables the Harness Million eligibility for all weanlings offered.”

“We’ve already received positive feedback about the move online and look forward to putting together a quality catalogue.” 

From a small offering, graduates of the National Weanling Sale have claimed six Group Ones and 34 individual stakes races in just five seasons. Headlined by Group One-winning graduates such as Debbie Lincoln (NZ) (Lather Up), Ya Rite Darl (NZ) (What The Hill), Fugitive (NZ) (Downbytheseaside), Aardiebytheseaside (NZ) (Downbytheseaside) and Christopher Dance (NZ) (Sweet Lou).

Please note any yearlings entered must be unbroken, ungaited and will not be eligible for the Harness Million Series. With the Sale online, one quality conformation photo must be submitted with every entry, by 23 April at the latest.
