Emilio and Mary Rosati, who purchase under their E & M Stride banner, secured the second-highest priced trotting yearling at the Christchurch Sale in Lot 176 ($90,000) out of M Caig's draft. Emilio and Mary also made headlines on Day 2 of the Christchurch Sale having purchased the equal top priced pacing yearling in Lot 267 ($170,000) from the draft of Shard Farm Standardbreds.
"I've been on this Muscle Hill campaign and I think he's the greatest trotting stallion that I have seen so to buy one at $100,000 [Lot 127] from Breckon Farms was a great thrill," commented Phil Kennard of PI and GJ Kennard Bloodstock who also secured Shard Farm Standardbreds Lot 280 for $100,000.
"With NZB picking it up now [standardbred sales], they're very professional at what they do," commented Lincoln Farm's John Street. "We got every horse we wanted so we were very, very lucky... They'll be going into some of our partnerhsips, but of course we won't partner them until they are two-year-olds."
