Competition is heating up for the 2026 National Weanling Sale held on standardbred.gavelhouse.com, with majority of the 45-lot catalogue having met their reserve ahead of bidding closing at 6pm (NZT) tonight, Wednesday 20 May.

There is no benefit in letting the clock run down to the final seconds before bidding. The auction will keep auto-extending, and you risk missing out if your internet connection drops out. Setting an auto-bid is the best way to ensure your bids are accepted as standardbred.gavelhouse.com cannot identify loss of online connection or browser issues at the user’s end. All weanlings purchased are eligible to be entered for NZB Standardbred’s lucrative Harness Million Sales Race Series. The Series consists of principal two-year-old and three-year-old races for colts and geldings, fillies and trotters individually, where NZB Standardbred graduates can contest for their share in a one-million-dollar prizepool.
