National Weanling Sale Catalogue Live on Gavelhouse

The catalogue for NZB Standardbred’s 2026 National Online Weanling Sale is now live on standardbred.gavelhouse.com alongside vendor media and information. 

Featuring a selection of the very best potential racing and breeding stock, 45 weanlings from renowned vendors A Matthews, Alabar Farms, Breckon Farms, Carera Bloodstock, Shard Farms, SL Taylor, Tardina, Ultimate Breeding and Woodlands Stud are set for sale. 

Bidding will commence on 13 May and will close from 6pm (NZT) on Wednesday 20 May.

From a small offering, graduates of the National Weanling Sale have claimed six Group Ones and 34 individual stakes races in just five seasons, headlined by Group One-winning graduates such as Debbie Lincoln (NZ) (Lather Up), Ya Rite Darl (NZ) (What The Hill), Fugitive (NZ) (Downbytheseaside), Aardiebytheseaside (NZ) (Downbytheseaside) and Christopher Dance (NZ) (Sweet Lou).   

All weanlings purchased are eligible to be entered for NZB Standardbred’s lucrative Harness Million Sales Race Series. The Series consists of principal two-year-old and three-year-old races for colts and geldings, fillies and trotters individually, where NZB Standardbred graduates can contest for their share in a one million dollar prizepool.  

Woodlands Stud will host an on-farm parade for their weanlings Saturday 9 May, from 11am at 60 Hamlin Rd, Ardmore, Papakura 2582. Woodlands Stud will also present 5 weanlings to inspect on behalf of Alabar Farms.
